RESTORE4Cs identified 6 case pilots for its activities. These comprise coastal wetlands ecosystems, in different preservation status (well-preserved vs. altered), with different alterations and offering a veriety of restoration measure types already in place.

The 6 case pilot sites provide a good geographical representation within Europe and its biogeographical regions: Mediterranean: (Valencian Wetlands and Camargue), Atlantic (Ria de Aveiro and South-West Dutch Delta), Baltic (Curonian Lagoon) and the Black Sea (Danube Delta).
