RESTORE4Cs identified 6 Case Pilots for its activities. These comprise coastal wetlands ecosystems, in different preservation statuses (well-preserved vs. altered), with different alterations and offering a variety of restoration measure types already in place.

The 6 Case Pilot sites provide a good geographical representation within Europe and its biogeographical regions: Mediterranean: (Valencian Wetlands and Camargue), Atlantic (Ria de Aveiro and South-West Dutch Delta), Baltic (Curonian Lagoon) and the Black Sea (Danube Delta).
