MedWet is inviting applications from qualified consultants or agencies to redesign and technically enhance an online platform to feature the activities of a new community, the European Community of Practice for Wetland Restoration (ECoP), as part of RESTORE4Cs. The members of this community range from managers of protected areas to NGOs, researchers and a variety of actors working to restore nature in wetlands.
The platform to be refined and further developed in this consultancy aims to become a reference site for promoting and disseminating the work of the people and personalities who are leading efforts to restore wetlands across Europe, the Mediterranean and beyond.
About the Role
The selected consultant will lead the redesign of an existing WordPress-based website — originally focused on Mediterranean wetland solutions — to create a dynamic, Europe-wide platform for the European Community of Practice for Wetland Restoration (ECoP). This new platform will become a central hub for sharing knowledge, showcasing restoration projects, and connecting stakeholders across sectors and countries.
Key services required include:
- Website Redesign & Technical Update: Apply a new MedWet-provided template, optimise existing content, restructure and adapt pages (including ~70 blog posts), and integrate essential plugins (forum, video support, GDPR compliance, etc.).
- New Content Integration: Upload up to 30 new pages featuring multimedia content (videos, infographics, reports, etc.) aligned with project milestones (10 pages by July 2025, remaining 20 by December).
- Ongoing Technical Support: Ensure smooth platform functionality through December 2025, with an option to extend through mid-2026.
- Training: Deliver a short online session to train MedWet staff on managing the new platform by November 2025.
The new platform will serve as a central communication and training tool, highlighting contributions from wetland managers, NGOs, scientists, and policymakers working across Europe and the Mediterranean.
Timeline & Milestones
- 10 June 2025 – Installation of new website template and homepage launch
- 24 June 2025 – Reorganisation of existing content and plugin integration
- 15 July 2025 – At least 10 new pages published
- December 2025 – Full content integration completed
- November 2025 – Training session delivered
Budget & Application
- Total budget available: up to €16,000
- Location: Home-based (remote meetings with MedWet team)
- Submission: Send application, including technical and financial offer, to: perroud@medwet.org
Applicants must include a technical proposal (max 2 pages), references from previous clients, a financial breakdown, and a signed certificate of honour confirming legal eligibility.
