Public Selection for Socio-Economic Research Fellowship for RESTORE4Cs at CNR-IRCrES

CNR-IRCrES has announced a public selection, based on qualifications and interview, is hereby announced for the award of no. 1 professional grant for the performance of research activities related to the Scientific Area ‘Economic, Social and Political Sciences’ to be carried out at CNR-IRCrES ‘Istituto di Ricerca sulla Crescita Economica Sostenibile’, Turin Branch, within the framework of RESTORE4Cs Task 5. 5 ‘Social acceptability of restoration actions’ in the WP5 ‘Social, ecological, and economic valuation for enhanced co-benefits from wetland restoration’ of the project ‘Modelling RESTORation of wEtlands for Carbon pathways, Climate Change mitigation and adaptation, ecosystem services, and biodiversity, Co-benefits- RESTORE4Cs’ (HERESTORE4Cs), call HORIZON-CL5-2021-D1-01, funded by the European Commission, Contract Number 101056782, for the following topic: ‘Support to socio-economic research with particular reference to environmental management, stakeholder analysis and methodologies for the identification of perceptions and preferences with respect to different ecosystem and environmental contexts’, under the scientific responsibility of Dott. ssa Lisa Sella.

In particular, the research fellow will collaborate on the literature review and analysis, the search for indicators and secondary data, the analysis of quantitative and qualitative primary data collected during the project activities, the development of complementary analysis tools applied to case studies, the drafting of articles and research reports. In addition, the researcher will undertake to make a personal contribution to the possible organisation and management of scientific seminars and conferences, as well as other dissemination initiatives related to the research.


Eligibility Requirements

The selection is open to candidates who, regardless of nationality and age, are in possession of meet the following requirements on the closing date for the submission of applications admission:
a) A university degree awarded in accordance with the regulations in force prior to D.M. 509/99, or Master’s Degree (Ministerial Decree of 5 May 2004), a professional curriculum suitable for the performance of performance of research activities;
b) Experience in the subject area referred to in Article 1, declared in accordance with Article 4;
c) Good knowledge of the English language;
d) Knowledge of the Italian language (only for foreign candidates).

All qualifications obtained abroad (degree, doctorate and any other titles) must, as a rule, be as a rule, previously recognised in Italy in accordance with the relevant legislation in force (information on the website of the Ministry for Universities and Scientific Research: www.miur.it). The equivalence of the aforementioned qualifications
obtained abroad that have not already been recognised in Italy with the above-mentioned formal procedure aforementioned, will be assessed, solely for the purpose of the candidate’s admission to this selection, by the selection board set up pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1 of the Specifications;

Within the curriculum vitae, the following constitute elements that will be assessed for ranking purposes, if consistent with the theme of the call for applications:
a) Study experience (undergraduate and postgraduate, including curricular and extracurricular internships and apprenticeships);
b) Experience in analysis and research activities in subjects related to the subject matter of Article 1 documented in the manner set out in Article 4;
c) Quality of the curriculum (course of study and work) and its coherence with the objectives of the call;
d) Research products (publications, research reports, communications at conferences, dissertations research);
e) Knowledge of techniques and software for qualitative and quantitative data processing.

The candidate is invited to highlight in the CV the elements suitable for assigning the evaluation for each point listed above.

Should the deadline for the submission of applications fall on a public holiday, said deadline shall be deemed to be extended to the first day that is not a public holiday shall be deemed extended to the first non-holiday immediately following. Applications submitted after the deadline and incomplete applications will not be considered. In the subject line of the e-mail you must indicate the reference to the selection notice No IRCRES-10-2024-TO (please avoid using indicating any special characters).

Applications sent electronically and certifications in accordance with DPR 445/2000 will be considered valid if the author is identified by the computer system through the access credentials relating to personal Certified Electronic Mail account.

For foreign citizens, the submission of the application and declarations referred to in paragraph 5 below may be sent by ordinary e-mail to segreteria@ircres.cnr.it, where it is not possible to sign the application with a digital signature, the foreign candidate shall validate the application itself by handwritten signature before the interview.

An email confirming receipt of the application will be sent to the aforementioned candidates.
