On 26 and 27 September 2025, RESTORE4Cs is proud to participate in the European Researchers’ Night, a major Europe-wide event that brings science closer to the public. Taking place in over 460 cities across 25 countries, the event is expected to welcome more than 1.5 million visitors of all ages into the world of research and innovation.
As part of this annual celebration of science, RESTORE4Cs will showcase its mission to restore, preserve, and value Europe’s critical wetland ecosystems, highlighting their vital role in climate change mitigation, biodiversity, and sustainable land use.

At the EU Corner of Università del Salento (Ex Convento degli Olivetani), visitors can explore a dedicated poster presentation detailing the RESTORE4Cs project. At Castello del Valentino – Sala delle Colonne, Lisa Sella, Francesca Silvia Rota, and Anna Perin from CNR-IRCRES will lead “Sfida la Scienza delle Zone Umide!”, an interactive game blending science, ecology, and fun. This wetlands-themed challenge invites participants to test their logic and knowledge while learning about the importance of wetland ecosystems.
