RESTORE4Cs Supports Co-Creation of University–Business Micro-Credentials at Rosseta UV Lab Networking Event

RESTORE4Cs is pleased to announce its support for an upcoming networking session at Rosseta UV Lab in Sagunt, an initiative born from RESTORE4Cs, focusing on the presentation and co-design of University–Business micro-credentials. This event represents a vital step in bridging ecosystem restoration, education, and regional economic development, and is especially significant as it takes place within the Marjal dels Moros’ Valencian Wetlands, one of RESTORE4Cs’ Case Pilots.

The event, hosted by the Vice-Rectorate for Lifelong Learning, Teaching Transformation and Employment of the University of Valencia, will take place on Thursday, 3 October, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at La Nau of the future Industrial Museum of Sagunt (Carrer de la Fundició, 80).

A Space for Co-Creation and Regional Collaboration

Designed as a dynamic forum for collaboration, the session will bring together representatives from the University of Valencia, local businesses in the Camp de Morvedre region, public administration, and citizens. The objective is to foster co-creation of new micro-credentials, flexible and targeted training programmes tailored to the evolving needs of the local economic ecosystem.

Key speakers include:

  • Ángeles Solanes, Vice-Rector for Lifelong Learning, Teaching Transformation and Employment (University of Valencia)
  • Cristina Plumed, President of ASECAM (Business Association of Camp de Morvedre)
  • Dario Moreno, Mayor of Sagunt
  • Carlos Romá-Mateo, Academic Director of Lifelong Learning (University of Valencia)

As a highlight of the session, participants will hear a presentation on a successful example of micro-credential co-creation between the University of Valencia and Global Òmnium, showcasing how academia and industry can innovate together.

The Role of RossetaUVLab and RESTORE4Cs

The event will be held at Rosseta UV Lab, the Citizen Laboratory for Social and Environmental Innovation linked to the Marjal dels Moros wetland ecosystem. This initiative, housed at the Sagunt campus, was established by the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication in collaboration with the Cavanilles Institute of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology, with support from the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society.

Rosseta UV Lab was launched within the framework of two European Horizon research projects: RESTORE4Cs, which includes participation from the University of Valencia, and SOTERIA, led by BC3 and supported by the Valencian Regional Government’s Department of Environment, Infrastructures and Territory.

By linking ecosystem restoration and educational innovation, RESTORE4Cs actively promotes community-led learning, green skills development, and knowledge-sharing around nature-based solutions.
