World Wetlands Day 2025: RESTORE4Cs Launches Wetland Restoration Initiatives

In celebration of World Wetlands Day 2025, RESTORE4Cs is excited to announce several impactful activities aimed at promoting wetland restoration and highlighting its critical role in climate change mitigation and ecosystem services. Through an integrative socio-ecological systems approach, these initiatives will foster awareness and engagement among communities, stakeholders, and citizens, while contributing to the achievement of EU climate and biodiversity goals.

Hereโ€™s whatโ€™s coming up:

  1. RESTORE4Cs School Competition: This spring, weโ€™re inviting teachers and students aged 12+ across Europe to participate in an educational competition focused on coastal wetland ecology. The competition, set to take place in mid-April 2025, offers a fun, informal way for students to explore the importance of wetlands and their role in our environment.
